Terms of Use
Last updated November 7, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Outline app and outlinefit.com. Outline is operated by OutlineFit ltd Co., an Arizona limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using Outline you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you download Outline from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ on the license to use the app, Apple's terms win.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account anytime in You → Delete account.
Free and Outline Pro
Outline is free to use, including plans, workout and food logging, barcode scanning, the exercise library, streaks and your last 90 days of history. Outline Pro is an optional subscription that adds describing your food for an AI estimate, smart coaching (weekly calorie adjustments, lighter weeks and deloads), your full history and charts, and new Pro features as we add them. Features may change over time.
Subscriptions, trials and billing
- Plans: Outline Pro Monthly and Outline Pro Yearly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- Free trial: new subscribers may get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid subscription and you're charged. One trial per Apple ID.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase (or when the trial ends).
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel or change plans: in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in Outline under You → Outline Pro. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds: handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Price changes: if the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where required, asks you to agree before renewing at the new price.
Not medical advice
Outline gives general fitness and nutrition information. It is not medical advice and is not a medical device. Calorie, macro and body fat numbers, including AI food estimates, are estimates and can be wrong. Talk to a doctor before starting a new diet or training program, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, take medication or have a history of disordered eating. Stop any exercise that causes pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. You train at your own risk.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Outline: no breaking into other accounts, overloading or reverse engineering our services, scraping, or using the AI food feature for anything other than describing food. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content and data
What you enter (measurements, logs, notes, custom lifts, meals, photos if we add them) stays yours. You give us a limited license to store, copy and process it only to run Outline for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't sell it and don't use it to train AI models. You can export it by contacting us and delete it anytime by deleting your account.
Feedback: if you send ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Outline without owing you anything for them.
AI food estimates: when you use "Describe it", the text you type is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce an estimate. Don't include personal information in it.
Apple Health, wearables and other services
If you connect Apple Health, Outline reads data your devices and apps saved there (for example weight, steps, workouts, active calories and heart rate). Those numbers come from those devices and apps; we don't control their accuracy. Calories burned, daily burn and body fat figures are estimates. Food data from Open Food Facts and barcode lookups comes from a public database and can be wrong. Payments are processed by Apple; subscriptions are managed through Apple and RevenueCat. Their own terms apply to those services.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Outline running but can't promise it will always be available or error free. Logging works offline and syncs later. We may update, change or stop features, and may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use Outline means you accept the updated terms.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect copyright. If you believe something in Outline or on outlinefit.com infringes your copyright, email our designated agent at support@outlinefit.com with the subject "DMCA notice". Include: the work you say is infringed; where the material is (a link or screen); your name, address, phone and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We'll remove material that infringes and may close repeat infringers' accounts.
Disclaimers and liability
Outline is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, injuries from training or diet choices, or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Outline Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Your responsibility
You agree to cover us (indemnify us) for claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that come from your misuse of Outline or your breaking these terms, to the extent the law allows.
Ending your use
You can stop using Outline and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or our service at risk. Sections that by their nature should continue (like your content rights, disclaimers, liability limits and disputes) continue after your account ends.
Disputes
Talk to us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly: email support@outlinefit.com and we'll try to resolve it within 30 days.
Arbitration. If we can't, you and we agree to resolve any dispute about Outline through final, binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court or ask a court to stop infringement of intellectual property. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action or class arbitration.
Opt out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@outlinefit.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name, the email on your account and a clear statement that you opt out.
Law and place. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court case allowed under these terms will be in the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona. If you live in a place whose law gives you rights these terms can't take away, those rights still apply.
General
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Outline. Not enforcing a part of these terms isn't a waiver. You can't transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganization.
